Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence B required, licence C an asset
- Knowledge of the road sector
- Knowledge of prevention and safety rules
- Skills in small masonry and small equipment upkeep
- Ability to work as a team
- Good organisation and initiative
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours: 8:00-12:00 and 13:15-17:30, and 16:15 on Fridays. Shifted hours possible.
- On-call duty for winter road watch and safety watch.
