Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the post is open to an entry-level category C grade (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly.
- Knowledge and respect of health and safety rules.
- Good team spirit and ability to work on your own.
- Punctuality, seriousness and rigor.
- Good relations with staff and residents.
- Driving licence B required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. Send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Work outdoors in all seasons.
- Available on weekends and public holidays.
- Travel between several work sites.
- Driving licence B required.
