Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring is possible without a competitive exam, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.

Diploma: CAP accompagnant éducatif petite enfance (AEPE)
The profile they look for:
- Know the physical and psychological development of children
- Apply hygiene and safety rules
- Know first aid and emergency actions
- Know safe working postures for handling and cleaning
- Know animation and early learning techniques for children
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The CAP AEPE is required.
- The job is vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Remote work is not possible.
- A contract worker's contract cannot exceed 3 years, renewable up to 6 years.
