Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Keep premises clean and organise your work.
- Know the basics of rules for public buildings (ERP).
- Use cash register software and handle payment methods.
- Know hygiene and safety basics.
- Have good people skills.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 30 (Closes in 33 days)
Apply on the employer's website. You also need to send your CV and cover letter to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Full time: 37 hours per week plus 12 RTT days.
- Works one weekend in four.
- Standard civil service pay, bonus scheme, contribution to health and provident insurance, CNAS and staff association.
