Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Open grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 1st or 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: No diploma required
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B minimum, BE or C is a plus.
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy loads.
- Strictly follow safety rules.
- Practical skills, manual work and ability to adapt.
- Organised and methodical.
- Good people skills and teamwork.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Often works alone and isolated on closed waste sites; wearing PPE is compulsory.
- 20 hours a week on an annual schedule; hours can be changed at any time for service needs.
- Remote work is not possible.
