Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly at this entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Knowledge of road signage, health and safety rules.
- Skills with maintenance and operating techniques and equipment.
- Heavy goods vehicle driving.
- CACES 1B and 8 certificates required.
- Category B and C driving licences required.
- Team spirit, good interpersonal skills, autonomy and rigour.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Summer hours: 8:00-12:00 and 13:15-17:15. Winter hours: 8:15-12:00 and 13:15-17:00.
- On-call duty for winter and summer road operations.
