Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. The entry-level category C grade allows direct hiring without a competitive exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Category B and C driving licences required.
- Work safely and wear personal protective equipment.
- Basic knowledge of car mechanics, masonry and road techniques.
- Ability to spot faults in a road or its equipment.
- Physically fit and available, with quick reactions.
- Able to work in a team and report back.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- On-call duty possible, during and outside working hours.
- Category B and C driving licences required.
