Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the basic health and safety rules for premises and machines.
- Be able to read product labels and follow the instructions.
- Be able to work on your own, following the schedule and instructions.
- Have a team spirit and a sense of public service.
- Be discreet and behave well in a school setting.
- Be careful, use good judgment and accept management authority.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Post vacant from 1 March 2027.
- Category C post, no management duties.
- School setting: discretion and good behaviour required.
