Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the grade is an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: BEP or CAP, ideally in electricity or another building trade
The profile they look for:
- Spot faults in an installation and know when a specialist is needed.
- Know maintenance and safety rules.
- Master basic building and gardening techniques.
- Use power tools and dangerous equipment safely.
- Report back clearly and work well in a team.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time is annualised: 1,567 hours per year.
- An electrical authorisation is a plus.
