Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

Experience: Beginners accepted.

- Basic knowledge of funeral law.
- Public service mindset and willingness to deal with grieving families.
- Good organisation, versatility and handling of urgent tasks.
- Professional, conscientious, independent and discreet.
- Good appearance, punctual, physically fit.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
No deadline given: the offer can be withdrawn at any time, do not wait.
Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by post or by email to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
