Civil servants in the adjoint technique cadre d'emploi can apply. People who are not civil servants can also apply as contract agents.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Strict hygiene, regular attendance and punctuality.
- Good team spirit.
- Good relations with children and teachers.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- An entry-level category C grade allows direct hiring without a competitive exam.
- Possible duties on Wednesdays and during school holidays, in leisure centres.
- Table service for municipal receptions possible, on a voluntary basis.
