Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Good physical fitness
- Driving licence B required, C or CE preferred
- Ability to drive machinery
- Safety-minded
- Likes outdoor work and teamwork
- Available for on-call duty, must live near the depot
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 23 (Closes in 24 days)
Submit your application on the Orne Departmental Council platform, mesdemarches.orne.fr, addressed to the President of the Departmental Council. This offer is applied for on the employer's site.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B is required and C or CE is preferred
- On-call duty, including outside winter, and night or weekend call-outs
- You must live close to the operations centre
- Tests or practical exercises may be asked for at the interview
