Open to civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents. A person without a civil service competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know the principles of cleaning, disinfection and hygiene.
- Be able to use cleaning equipment and products.
- Know safety rules and safe lifting and working postures.
- Be able to report and raise alerts, orally and in writing.
- Show rigour, politeness and ability to adapt.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by email or by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Shift work, sometimes on weekends, with hours between 6am and 11pm.
- Extra hours possible during exceptional events.
- Long periods standing and possible lifting of loads.
- Wearing the uniform and protective equipment is mandatory.
