Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired directly, because the entry category C grade does not require one.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Know road construction and maintenance techniques.
- Know safety rules for workers and road users.
- Know the rules on road signs and road equipment.
- Be able to report to your manager.
- Use IT tools and job-specific software.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
