Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the entry grade of category C allows it.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or BEP in horticulture, or another green spaces diploma
Experience: Experienced. Similar job experience is ideal.
The profile they look for:
- CAP or BEP in horticulture, or another green spaces diploma
- Know plants and pruning and mowing methods
- Use equipment well and know maintenance techniques
- Know and follow basic hygiene and safety rules
- Report on your work, follow instructions and work in a team
- Driving licence category B required
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Driving licence category B required.
- Electrical authorisation and CACES required; nacelle licence ideally.
