Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply, even without a competitive exam, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Recognised disabled workers can also be recruited on contract.

The profile they look for:
- Heavy goods vehicle (poids lourds) driving licence essential.
- Good physical fitness and practical manual skills.
- Knowledge of the highway code and safety rules.
- Knowledge of winter road maintenance and road signs.
- Ability to work in a team and report back.
- Ability to maintain equipment and diagnose simple faults.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
