Civil servants and contract agents can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.

Experience: Experienced (confirmed level)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone.
- Accept shifts at different hours depending on service needs.
- Wear suitable work clothing.
- Comfortable dealing with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Apply health and safety rules at work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
