Civil servants (permanent staff) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Be very available, with seasonal activity.
- Wear suitable work clothing.
- Hold a category B driving licence.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Category B driving licence required.
- Position vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Adjoint technique grade, category C, no management duties.
