Civil servants and contract agents can apply. The post is open at the adjoint technique grade, and a person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team
- Very available
- Accept irregular and shifting hours
- Travel constantly between work sites
- Follow health and safety rules at work
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Irregular hours with a wide daily range, and seasonal work
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting loads, dangerous machinery
