Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because this is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Ability to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability, with irregular hours depending on the service.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Regular contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Physically demanding work: noise, lifting loads, dangerous machines.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 6 (Closes in 7 days)
Send your handwritten cover letter and your CV by email to the commune. You can also apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Position vacant from 4 January 2027.
- Remote work not possible.
- Irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks.
- Category C post, no management duties.
