1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Be able to work alone.
- Be very available, with sometimes irregular hours.
- Adapt to strong seasonal work and weather-driven peaks in activity.
- Cope with hard conditions: noise, lifting loads, long periods standing.
- Communicate well with elected officials, staff, residents and suppliers.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Part-time post, with a working time share below 50%.
- Hours may be irregular, with a large daily spread.
- Post vacant from 1 January 2027.
- Suitable work clothing must be worn.
