Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Versatility for a wide range of maintenance work
- Basic technical skills in green spaces, roads or small building work
- Knowledge of green space upkeep and use of tools and equipment
- Independence, organisation and respect for schedules
- Rigour, discretion and a sense of public service
- Respect for health and safety rules
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 25 (Closes in 24 days)
Apply on the employer's website linked in the offer. You can also send your CV and cover letter to the Mayor, at the Machault town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Category C job, no management duties.
- Remote work not possible.
- One-off tasks: salting roads in winter, helping with festivals and ceremonies.
