Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate required.
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone and move between sites all the time.
- Available, with irregular hours and winter on-call duty.
- Knows the equipment and applies safety rules.
- Good listening skills, rigorous, energetic and responsive.
- Good physical fitness.
- Category B driving licence and CACES certificates depending on machines, or training.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- No remote work possible.
- Irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks, with winter on-call duty.
- Machine driving depends on valid CACES 1, 4 or 8 certificates, or training.
- Hard physical job: noise, heavy loads, dangerous products.
