Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who is not a civil servant can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment without a competitive exam. Open grades: adjoint technique and adjoint technique principal de 2e classe.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Good listening skills, rigour and quick reactions.
- Good physical fitness and respect for safety rules.
- Driving licence category B required for light vehicles.
- CACES 4 and 8 for tractor or backhoe loader, or training provided.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- No remote work: the job is done in the field.
- Irregular hours, winter on-call duty and sometimes working alone.
- Physically demanding: noise, heavy loads, hazardous products, long periods standing.
- Strong seasonal variation depending on the weather.
