2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your application by post or email to the human resources department, addressed to the mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Working time of 35 hours per week, with RTT days off.
- On-call duty possible for winter road maintenance.
- Remote work not possible.
- Meal vouchers and employer contribution to health insurance.
