Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly for this category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Diploma: CAP or vocational bac (BAC PRO)
Experience: Beginners accepted.
The profile they look for:
- Know and apply health and safety rules.
- Be able to work in a small team and on your own.
- Be careful, quick to react and rigorous.
- Have a sense of public service and good physical stamina.
- Hold the specific driving licences, CACES or electrical authorisation if needed.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send a cover letter and a CV to the town hall by post or by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Rural job with irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks.
- Constant travel between sites and wearing work clothing.
- No remote work possible.
- Position vacant from 1 December 2026.
