Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person without a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Work alone and travel to sites all the time.
- Accept irregular or shifted hours depending on the service needs.
- Be available during busy periods linked to the weather.
- Hold a category B driving licence; a van licence (VL) would be a plus.
- Wear the right work clothing.
- Work well with town staff and the town hall office.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply by email to the town hall or on the employer's website named in the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:

- Category B driving licence required; van licence (VL) a plus.
- Remote work not possible.
- Hours sometimes irregular and strong seasonal workload.
