The profile they look for:
- Work alone and travel constantly between sites.
- Be highly available, with irregular working hours.
- Cope with hard conditions: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products.
- Be in contact with elected officials, staff, residents and suppliers.
- At least 15 years of experience in a similar job.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
