Civil servants (titulaires) and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available.
- Accept strong seasonal changes and busy periods linked to weather.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Be in frequent contact with elected officials and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website linked from the official offer. You can also send your application by email to the town hall, addressed to the Mayor, preferably by email.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Job vacant from 1 January 2027.
- Remote work not possible.
- No management role.
- Open grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 2nd or 1st class.
