Open to civil servants and contract workers. No competitive exam is needed, because the grade of adjoint technique is an entry-level category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Be very available, with irregular working hours.
- Apply health and safety rules at work.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV to the town hall, by email or by post. The contact details are given on the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting loads, hazardous products.
- Irregular hours with large daily variations and strong seasonal peaks.
- Remote work is not possible.
