Civil servants (permanent, by transfer or secondment) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, as the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with irregular hours depending on service needs.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Able to cope with physically hard work: lifting, noise, standing for long periods.
- Strict respect of safety rules and wearing suitable work clothes.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Post vacant from 1 December 2026.
- Hours can be irregular and shifted, with strong seasonal peaks.
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting, dangerous machinery.
- Contract staff can be hired for up to 3 years, renewable up to a maximum of 6 years.
