Civil servants and contract workers can apply. Direct hiring is possible without a competitive exam, because the adjoint technique grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team
- Very available, with sometimes irregular hours
- Frequent travel between work sites
- Accepts physical demands: lifting loads, noise, standing for long periods
- Frequent contact with elected officials, residents and contractors
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 11 (Closes in 11 days)
Apply on the employer's website, from the offer on Choisir le Service Public. The application should be addressed to the Mayor.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible
- Irregular hours with a large daily range
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to weather
- Physically demanding: noise, lifting, dangerous machines, polluting products
