Civil servants and contract agents can apply. Direct hiring is possible without a competitive exam, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate.
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Know how tools, equipment and machines work.
- Spot faults on public roads, such as road surfaces or pavements.
- Handle emergencies after an incident or accident.
- Be versatile and able to work in a team.
- Be available, with sometimes irregular working hours.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 2 (Closes in 3 days)
Send your CV and cover letter only by post, addressed to the Mayor. The offer also has a button to apply on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting loads, long periods standing.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to weather conditions.
