Open to civil servants and contract staff. A person who did not pass a public competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability with irregular hours and wide daily range.
- Heavy goods vehicle licence (permis poids lourds) required.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Frequent contact with councillors, residents and town staff.
- Able to cope with hard conditions: noise, lifting, dangerous products.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send a CV and cover letter by post to the town hall.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
