Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the entry grade in category C allows direct recruitment.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very flexible, with irregular hours depending on the service.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Accepts physically demanding work (noise, lifting, dangerous products).
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your application to the town hall by email, or use the Apply on employer site button on the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Post vacant from 13/11/2026.
- Irregular hours with large daily variation.
- Seasonal work with peaks linked to the weather.
- Remote work is not possible.
