Civil servants and contract staff can apply. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible, because the grade offered is an entry-level category C grade (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Work alone, sometimes in a small team
- Wear suitable work clothing
- Have frequent contact with elected officials
- Work with the commune's staff and the town hall secretary
- Apply safety rules for the public
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your CV by email to the town hall, at the address given in the offer. You can also apply on the employer's website, from the official offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
