Civil servants and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly at an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed level
The profile they look for:
- Experience with green spaces and small building works.
- Able to work on your own and handle many tasks.
- Available for irregular or shifted hours.
- Often travels between work sites.
- Regular contact with elected officials and residents.
- Driving licence category B.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Irregular or shifted hours depending on service needs.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to the weather.
- Wearing suitable work clothes is required.
- Remote work is not possible.
