Civil servants (permanent staff) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Ability to work alone or in a small team.
- High availability, with sometimes irregular hours.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Able to cope with hard physical conditions: loads, noise, standing for long periods.
- Follow safety rules for yourself and for users.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Category C post, adjoint technique grade.
