Civil servants and contract agents can apply. The Adjoint technique grade is an entry-level category C grade, open without a competitive exam.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate required.
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability and possibly irregular hours.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Able to cope with hard conditions: noise, lifting loads, standing for long periods.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, residents and suppliers.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Send your cover letter and CV by email to the town hall, as described in the offer.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work not possible.
- Irregular hours with large daily variation depending on service needs.
- Constant travel between work sites.
