Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for this entry-level grade (adjoint technique).
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Experienced candidate required.
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, accepts irregular working hours.
- Able to travel constantly between work sites.
- Able to cope with physical strain (lifting, noise, standing for long periods).
- Good at dealing with elected officials, staff and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.

- Irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks linked to weather.
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting, dangerous machinery.
- Suitable work clothing required.
