1 Check the conditions You are here
Civil servants and contract staff. A person who has not passed a civil service competition can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Open grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 1st and 2nd class.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Multi-skilled in building maintenance.
- Up-to-date electrical certifications.
- CACES certificate for aerial platforms (nacelles).
- Follows safety rules every day.
- Works independently and can act quickly in urgent cases.
- Physically fit for carrying loads.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. You can also send your application by email to the commune's human resources department.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- The job is vacant from 8 November 2026.
- Urgent call-outs possible, for example during snow or flooding.
- Field work that involves carrying loads.
