Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Training or experience in construction or public works.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules.
- High availability and versatility.
- Able to work alone or in a team.
- Rigour, responsiveness and a sense of public service.
- Driving licences B and C (heavy vehicle) required.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 12 (Closes in 11 days)
Send your application to the Lozère public service management centre (Centre de gestion de la Lozère), by post or by email. A « Postuler sur le site employeur » button is also on the official offer page.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licences B and C (heavy vehicle) required.
- CACES certificates for construction machines cat. C and transport vehicles cat. E preferred; training possible in-house.
- Electrical authorisation training preferred.
