Civil servants and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly for a category C grade.
Category: Category C (staff)
Experience: Confirmed (experienced) level.
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with irregular or shifted hours.
- Travel constantly between work sites.
- Follow health and safety rules at work.
- Accept physical work: lifting loads, noise, dangerous machines.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply before the deadline, by email to the town hall or on the employer's website.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Rural job, with constant travel between sites.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to the weather.
- Irregular hours with a large daily range.
- Work clothes must be worn.
