Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a public competition can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C. Disabled workers can also join through a contract.

Experience: Beginners accepted
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team
- High availability and frequent travel
- Follows health and safety rules at work
- Accepts irregular hours and strong seasonal peaks
- Good contact with elected officials, staff and residents
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply
Deadline: November 1 (Closes tomorrow)
Apply on the employer's website, through the offer on Choisir le Service Public. Send a cover letter and a CV.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hard working conditions: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products, long standing
- Irregular hours with a large daily range
- Very seasonal work, linked to the weather
