Civil servants and contract workers can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with irregular working hours.
- Constant travel between work sites.
- Able to handle hard working conditions (noise, lifting loads).
- Wears suitable work clothing.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff, residents and suppliers.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website. Applications should be sent to the Mayor of Chaon.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Working hours may be irregular, with variable length.
- Physically demanding job (noise, lifting, dangerous products).
- Strong seasonal workload linked to weather.
