Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade offered is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone or in a small team.
- Very flexible, with irregular working hours.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Able to do physical work: lifting, noise, standing for long periods.
- Follows safety rules.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Remote work is not possible.
- Irregular hours with large daily variations depending on the work.
- Seasonal work, with busy periods linked to the weather.
- Physically demanding job: noise, heavy loads, dangerous machines, polluting products.
