Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. People recognised as disabled workers can also apply under a contract.

The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- High availability, with possibly irregular hours.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Wearing suitable work clothing.
- Good contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Hours can be irregular or shifted, with a wide daily range.
- Physically demanding job: noise, lifting loads, dangerous products.
- Very seasonal work, with peaks linked to the weather.
