Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. A person who has not passed a competitive exam can be hired directly, because the grade is an entry grade in category C.

The profile they look for:
- Apply workplace safety rules
- Master the basics of several building trades
- Plan and organise work by priority
- Work alone and in a team, with rigour and discretion
- Accept lifting heavy loads and outdoor work
- Driving licence B required
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your file by post or by email to the town hall office.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
Good to know:
- Driving licence B required; heavy goods vehicle licence welcome.
- Service housing: T4 flat at a moderate rent.
- Employer contributes to health and welfare cover; option to join COS 38.
- Remote work not possible.
