Civil servants (titulaires) and contract agents can apply. A person who has not passed a civil service exam can be hired, because the grade is an entry grade of category C.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Driving licence category B required.
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Frequent contact with elected officials, staff and residents.
- Accepts a physically demanding job: noise, lifting, standing for long periods.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.
3 Apply

Apply on the employer's website, or send your CV and cover letter by post to the town hall before the deadline.
4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
