Civil servants (titulaires) and contract staff can apply. Open grades: adjoint technique, adjoint technique principal 2nd or 1st class. Direct hiring without a competitive exam is possible.
Category: Category C (staff)
The profile they look for:
- Able to work alone, sometimes in a small team.
- Very available, with sometimes irregular hours.
- Frequent travel between work sites.
- Able to cope with hard conditions: noise, heavy loads, dangerous products.
- Regular contact with councillors and residents.
2 Résumé and cover letter
A one- or two-page résumé and a short cover letter that takes up the duties of the offer with your examples. If you are a civil servant, you are often asked for your latest status decision (arrêté) and your latest annual review reports.

4 Interview and answer
If your application is shortlisted, the employer contacts you for an interview, often with two or three people. Prepare: why this job, your experience close to the duties, and your questions.
